Coming Soon allows listing agents to take up to 21 days to stage properties, take interior photos, prepare them for showings, and so on, without Days on Market accruing.
Within one (1) business day of any public marketing of the property, the Listing Broker must ensure the listing is in Active or Coming Soon status.
How is Coming Soon similar to Active?
- MLS rules allow marketing in both statuses, so long as advertisements clearly mark Coming Soon listings as Coming Soon.
How is Coming Soon unique?
- Coming Soon listings will not go out from the MLS to portals like Realtor.com, and Homes.com.
- MLS rules prohibit showings of any kind, including showings by the listing broker.
- Because of these limitations, Days on Market do not count in Coming Soon.
You must obtain a seller-signed copy of a CRMLS Coming Soon Form before using the Coming Soon status. However, you do not need to provide the form to CRMLS unless Compliance requests it.

Coming Soon Status in Flexmls
When adding a listing with the Coming Soon status in Flexmls, you must start on the General Tab and select the Property Type.
Complete the fields in the Address tab and proceed to the Main Fields tab.
Click the dropdown arrow in the Status field and select Coming Soon.
In the Start Showing Date field, enter the date (not to exceed 21 days from the listing date) and continue entering your listing.
Coming Soon Status in Matrix
When adding a listing with the Coming Soon status in Matrix, click on the Status tab and select Coming Soon.
Complete the fields in the Basics, Descriptions, Features and Land/Terms tabs.
Under the Office/MLS tab, you’ll find the Start Showing Date field. Enter the date (not to exceed 21 days from the listing date) and continue entering your listing.
Coming Soon Status in Paragon
Type Coming Soon in the Status field or click the magnifying glass, select it from the list, and click Save.
If you choose Coming Soon, the system will flag the On Market Date field as a required field. Enter the date (not to exceed 21 days from the listing date) and continue entering your listing.
