To provide our users with the best possible service and security, CRMLS has implemented Transport Layer Security (TLS) for Matrix and your dashboard. This is an added layer of security found in many websites that handles sensitive information, and is most recognizable on a site as an “https://” (note the “s” is included) instead of an “http://” (note the “s” is not included) appearing at the start of the URL. TLS is a more secure transport method for your data.
There are a few important things you need to know about this transition. Here are answers to some common questions:
Q: Has the URL I use to login to Matrix changed?
A: Yes. The new URL is https://matrix.crmls.org. Please update your bookmarks. The main CRMLS website will also be undergoing this change soon.
Q: What happens to existing Portals, bookmarked links, etc. that used the old URL?
A: They will continue to work, as the vendor has set up a re-director to point links to the new URL. However, you are still encouraged to update your bookmarks.
Q: Are third party products linked in Matrix impacted?
A: Products linked in Matrix and endorsed by CRMLS continue to work as normal. However, if you access other products or sites from Matrix, you may see a warning that you are leaving a secure site and entering a non-secure site. (These warnings are especially visible in Google Chrome.)
Q: What benefit do I receive from this upgrade?
A: TLS is a more secure transport method for your data. Now that the switch to https:// is complete, your data is more secure than ever.
